When the abandoned house next door to my clients finally came on the market, they jumped at the opportunity to purchase it for his 85-year old mother to live in. Together, in collaboration with New Avenue Homes, we transformed what was, quite frankly, a mess of a house with good bones but a hack-job kitchen and scary after-thought bathroom. The result is a bright, warm, and modern home thoughtfully designed to accommodate the needs of aging in place.
This project was one of my favorite homes to design because the care and attention my clients gave to each decision was so full of love and consideration for what his mother would like, need, and want. It was an honor to assist them with such a special project.
