A well designed space provides a sense of comfort and beauty when it reflects your needs, tastes and lifestyle. In my 25 years as an interior designer, I've helped hundreds of clients translate their unique sense of style into spaces that work for them. Each project addresses the client's personal concerns: complete remodel, aging gracefully at home, energy efficiency, growing family, re-sale potential, updating a room, office efficiency, pet issues and more.

Whether you're planning a comprehensive remodel or simply updating a room, we can work together to create a space that is beautiful and functional, maximizing the full potential of your home or office. I personally oversee every aspect of your project, assuring that the job is completed per our detailed specifications.

This original 1913 historically designated craftsman home needed a bathroom that met the many needs of the current owners.
They requested a walk - in shower and closet, a freestanding bathtub (the only one in the house)and design features of the period.
By expanding into two adjacent closets and using restored transom windows and doors we were able to meet their requests and create a beautiful, spacious and efficient bathroom.
This cramped bathroom is used by guests and teenagers.
By moving the sink, installing a 4' tub, German cabinetry, glass accent tiles and mid century styled wall paper, the room feels bigger and is now both functional and fun!
And AFTER: We raised the ceiling heights to draw attention to the dramatic entryway, enhanced the Spanish style with arches and incorporated unique finishes throughout.
Write a list of areas you want to change with your goals for each space (i.e., larger kitchen, more counter space, more storage, bigger closet, better lighting).
Find design styles that you like in magazines, at home tours and on the Internet, and gather them in a notebook or file.
Remodeling is a major investment in your home.
A designer has the experience and skills to walk you through the process and ensure that you get it right the first time.
Projects large and small require meticulous attention to detail.
Can you walk into a dark house and find a light switch right away?
Can you bring the groceries to the kitchen with ease?
It's my job to provide solutions that work - incorporating energy efficient design, comfort and practicality.
Fabric selections that make sense: fabrics need to function first, with considerations for pets, natural light, and intensity of use.
Designing and furnishing homes for life's later years is a specialty of mine.
I create design solutions that help make your home safe, accessible, comfortable and beautiful, with careful consideration of the changing abilities that come with advancing age.
I conduct a room-by-room analysis to assess your space.
I consider entrances, exits and doorways, lighting, flooring, color contrasts, furniture placement and seating, bathroom safety, kitchen organization, storage, and window treatments.
My approach to accessible design enhances the daily comfort, aesthetics and safety of your home, whether you live in a house, an apartment, or at an assisted living facility.
