Maureen Conlin Rudd grew up playing in her Dad's furniture store when it was closed on Sundays, pretending to be an in-store designer by re-arranging the living room displays, changing out lamps and paintings, and drawing up bills of sale for imaginary customers. After the weekend, the grown-up staff would return to the store and complain, again, to her Dad.
After studying art history in college, including a year in Paris, Maureen moved to New York City to join John Saladino, Inc. Her work is rooted in a classic European design sensibility that respects history, scale, proportion and comfort. Emphasizing collaboration with both the house and the personal style of its inhabitants, the finished spaces and homes carry the family narrative and memories with elegance, humor, calm, eclecticism and fun.
